At the Old Village Collection, we believe in supporting our country and that means keeping all operations - including design and production - stateside.

We’ll never ship our designs off to China or India, or any other foreign country, to be completed at starvation wages just so we can make an extra buck on the deal.

Why not, you ask? Because it’s all about keeping the virtuous cycle going, and reinvesting in the local economy. Short term it may cost a bit more, but in the long term it’s the right thing to do.

Our ancestors fought and died to create and protect this country - and it’s the least we can do.

Never Made in China

We get occasional visits from Chinese IP addresses, probably so that they can rip our designs and start producing them at cut rate prices. Certainly for all the visits our analytics show, we’ve never had a plan purchased by a customer in China.

After asking our web-host to institute a blanket ban on Chinese web traffic, and finding out ‘they don’t really do that’, we have decided to do one better.

Instead, we’ve included some information here that should help get us banned by ‘the great filter’ that China has installed to keep their oppressed citizens from knowing the truth about their own country.

That way, they can’t visit our site and steal our designs - and that’s good for us, and good for you, because it will help keep cheap Chinese knockoffs of your house from being built.

1 - Bad Beginnings: General Mao was a Monster

And if you’re going by body count alone, worse than Hitler. Yet - we don’t really hear much about him do we. When’s the last time you heard antifa call a conservative ‘literally Mao’ when they lose an argument to them? Never. It’s always ‘you’re Hitler’ or ‘you’re a Nazi’. Yet by rights, he was worse - and for some reason most people have no idea.

The truth is, that the reason is because in China, the bad guys won. In the west, the good guys defeated Hitler and so his crimes were scrutinized, his accomplices punished, his movement denigrated and ridiculed. But in China, the monsters won the war.

2 - Mao was also incompetent

From most research, the deaths of the revolution were something around 1,500,000 people dead. But then, once the total loser Mao got into power, another 15,000,000 people died because of the idiotic economic policies that he and his henchmen tried to institute. Imagine telling all the farmers to just stop farming because you’re going to try a new method that produces much more food, and then you try it and it doesn’t even work - at all! And everyone starves and dies a horrible death.

That’s communism for you - I once heard it described this way and still agree it’s the best way to make you feel the terror of a system that has completely broken down:
